2. We will never charge you a service fee for making a reservation.

3. No advance payment is required for 85% of our reservations. Your credit card guarantees your room, but it's not billed until you check out.

4. If you find a lower, comparable rate at another website – including the hotel's own website – we will quickly pay you the difference.

5. If a hotel should ever charge you more than your confirmed room rate, we will reimburse you for the difference.

These cost codes are useful estimates, but they are not exact because hotel room rates vary by

• Season of the year – rooms at the beach are cheaper in winter.

• Day of the week – business hotels have lower prices on weekends.

• Whether a professional sports team or major concert is in town.

• Who you are – AAA members, seniors, business travelers, and government and military personnel are often eligible for discounts.

• When you make your reservation – you can sometimes negotiate a lower last-minute rate, if the hotel has a vacancy.
