Editor comment: My favorite Victoria hotel, though the Coast and Delta are close seconds. The Laurel Point Inn is an easy 7-minute walk to downtown. Harbour-mountain views from west side of south wing (even-numbered rooms) are stunning. South wing suites are also newer and larger than north wing rooms. Studio suites are best value. Request even-numbered (west side) suite on 4th or 5th floor of south wing, as near 460 or 560 as possible

Fantastic bayfront location; walk to the ferry terminal, waterfront promenade, and tourist attractions - hotel was upscale, clean, and newly renovated - huge, nicely furnished room - housekeeping skimped on toiletries, and didn't replace the towels my 3rd night - staff was professional, helpful, and knowledgeable - great menu at the indoor-outdoor restaurant, but food was a bit pricey - Jul 2010

Good rates - beautiful hotel overlooking the inner bay - bed was comfortable - I didn't mind the sound of float planes taking off at 7 AM, but others might - May 2008
