Our newly-remodeled room was beautiful, and the hardwood flooring was a nice change from hotel carpeting. All the employees we encountered were helpful, cheerful, and went out of their way to help us. The pool area was quite hip and cosmopolitan, though it was closed when there was lightning in the area. "Close to the cruise port. The hotel was in an old courthouse; not a warm and fuzzy place. I thought it was interesting, but my mom thought it was cold and institutional. There was only a plastic chair in the room for seating. The desk and desk chair were too high for us since we're both short. There was on-site dining, but it wasn't cheap.
