"There were homeless people outside the building all the time. The hotel was a high-rise, and we had to park on a level that was deserted. The door from the parking level to the hotel wasn't locked, and there was no security. On the bright side, the room looked and felt clean, and the staff was super nice. "The hotel was modern and hip. The room was quiet and just right, but the lighting was poor. Nice bathroom; had a shower but no bathtub, which was fine with me. The poor lighting made it hard to put on my makeup, though. Great check-in and helpful staff. OK rooftop restaurant, but the service wasn't great. There was a happy hour with appetizers on the 2nd floor. Not much in the area if you want to dine or shop, but we were able to walk to Saban Theater.
